In the field of aesthetic medicine, the most consistent trend in recent years has been non-invasive skin regeneratio. An approach that favors technologies and biomolecules capable of activating the skin’s intrinsic repair mechanisms. Within this context, Dermotense emerges as a new combined protocol developed by Dr. Eleana Ferrari at Rejuve MediClinic. It integrates long-pulse Nd:YAG laser technology with a hybrid biorevitalizer (HCC: high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid). This two-step treatment is specifically designed to enhance skin laxity, density, hydration, and radiance in the face and neck area.
WHY COMBINE LASER AND HYBRID BIOREVITALIZATION
Recent clinical evidence clearly demonstrates that a dual-stimulation approach—combining device-based technology with injectable actives—yields superior outcomes compared to single-modality techniques. As Dr. Ferrari explains, “The long-pulse Nd:YAG laser used in the first phase of Dermotense induces controlled dermal heating (between 41–43°C), which triggers neocollagenesis and neoelastogenesis. Consequently, the tissue becomes more receptive to the injectable phase that follows.”
Moreover, the use of a hybrid hyaluronic acid (HCC), combining both high and low molecular weights and free of BDDE (a cross-linking agent), enables deep dermal restructuring. This results in intensive hydration, improved skin density, enhanced texture, and reduction of mild pigmentation irregularities.
TARGET PATIENT POPULATION
Dermotense is particularly suitable for individuals exhibiting mild to moderate skin laxity in the face and neck, decreased skin tone, dehydration, or signs of photoaging. “It is also indicated for patients presenting with dull complexion and superficial vascular discoloration,” adds Dr. Ferrari. The treatment delivers a natural and progressive lifting effect without significant downtime.
Contraindications include pregnancy or breastfeeding, active skin infections, ongoing anticoagulant or corticosteroid therapy, and recent exposure (within the past two weeks) to laser treatments or deep chemical peels.
PROTOCOL OVERVIEW
The protocol unfolds in two sequential phases:
PHASE 1 – Nd:YAG Short-Pulse Photothermostimulation
The skin is first thoroughly cleansed with a gentle cleanser. Before the procedure begins, the patient’s eyes are protected with appropriate goggles. The 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser is applied using medium-low fluence, with 2–3 passes per area, employing slow and consistent movements without pausing. The goal is not to ablate, but to achieve uniform thermal stimulation that activates the dermis and enhances its responsiveness.
PHASE 2 – Hybrid Biorevitalization (HCC)
After disinfecting the skin again, the hybrid hyaluronic acid is injected using micro-wheals at a mid-dermal depth (1–2 mm), targeting specific areas such as the cheekbones, cheeks, perioral region, chin, and both central and lateral neck zones. The average dosage is 2 ml for the face and 2 ml for the neck, adjusted according to individual needs. A gentle massage is performed at the end to ensure even product distribution.
RECOVERY TIME AND EXPECTED RESULTS
Following the session, a soothing cream or hydrating mask is applied. Post-treatment effects are minimal, typically involving mild redness or swelling that subsides quickly. It is crucial to avoid makeup, sun exposure, and intense physical activity for the first 12–24 hours. Sunscreen with SPF 50+ should be used for at least seven days post-treatment. Noticeable improvements in hydration and skin firmness are often observed within a few days, while the lifting effect and enhanced skin tone become more evident in the following weeks.
NUMBER OF SESSIONS REQUIRED
The complete protocol consists of 2–3 sessions spaced 30 days apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 4–6 months. It can also be seamlessly integrated into Rejuve’s broader anti-aging programs, including Bright Skin, Cambia Pelle, and Reshape.
REJUVE DERMOCOSMETIC TREATMENTS
Rejuve is a professional cosmeceutical line developed to complement and enhance aesthetic medicine treatments both in-clinic and at home. Formulated with high-concentration actives and cutting-edge technologies, Rejuve products aim to improve skin quality, stimulate regenerative processes, and deliver visible, long-lasting results.

CELL RENEWAL PLUS is a concentrated, soothing serum specifically formulated for sensitive, irritated, and asphyxiated skin. This advanced formula features high concentrations of Rosehip Oil and Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate—a lipid-soluble form of Vitamin C—stabilized by the water-free composition, which prevents oxidation and preserves its efficacy. It delivers nourishing, reparative, and brightening benefits, making it ideal for those seeking an intensive treatment that protects, calms, and visibly enhances skin tone and radiance.

The development of ESSENCE NEOXOMA began with the goal of harnessing the potential of cellular communication to promote lasting skin rejuvenation. Using plant-derived exosomes from Goji stem cells, this serum acts as a cellular activator that encourages post-treatment healing. The skin regenerates by boosting collagen and elastin production, resulting in greater elasticity and resilience.

INTERACTIVE NEO-C is a brightening and antioxidant serum with a high concentration (30%) of stabilized Vitamin C, designed to target dullness, discoloration, and early signs of aging. The formula is enhanced with: Ferulic Acid, which boosts its photoprotective efficacy; Vitamin E, offering synergistic action and protection against oxidative stress; and biomimetic peptides, which stimulate collagen synthesis. Evening application is recommended.

ESSENCE NEOMATRIX is an intensive restructuring serum designed for stressed, thin, or mature skin. Its advanced formula works as a “dermal matrix activator” through a targeted combination of regenerative actives. Key ingredients include: Hyaluronic Acid for deep and long-lasting hydration; Bakuchiol, a natural alternative to retinol; and Niacinamide, a form of Vitamin B3 that soothes, evens out skin tone, and strengthens the skin barrier. Daytime application is recommended before sunscreen.
